2000 Things

I had a minor surgery this past Friday and am just now feeling well enough to write.

So my big plan to create some revenue for myself? I have decided that if I can simply sell 2000 things for $10 each... I'll have $20,000! Crazy idea?! Probably.

My boyfriend loves me and wants to marry me and start a family with me, but we both agree we need a little nest egg first. The costs for a wedding and a baby are overwhelming! I'm not blogging for sympathy. I'm hoping for encouragement. And for inspiration. I know starting a family can be expensive. If I can figure out a creative way to save money for our new beginning... I'll be so happy! But even if I only make enough to support my artistic passion, I'll be grateful.

Back to my idea... Sell 2000 Things for $10 each. What will I sell? For starters I have some great old albums I inherited to sell on ebay. We also plan to have a yard sale this fall. And hopefully I'll be able to start creating some art and selling it! I usually end up giving it away. In fact I'm gonna have a hard time asking anyone for money. I think art should be shared. Plus, I still have the fear that no one will like what I create.

Will I actually be able to sell 2000 Things for $10 each? I guess we'll find out. My goal is to do this by my next birthday, May 21, 2010. I really think this can be done. And I hope to find the support and advice I need throught blogging. I have already been inspired by several other blogs. Now it's time for me to get off the computer and create!

  1. Awesome! :)

One thing to think about... if you sell 2000 art pieces for $10 a pop, will you have to claim that on your taxes? If you do, can you write off enough supplies, etc, to offset that income so you don't have to pay in on your taxes?

    But sweet idea! :)
